Exchangers for applications up to 300°C (572°F)
The industrial applicable heat exchanger in reinforced form.
The heat exchanger can be made from stainless steel by high temperatures or aggressive contents of the return air flow. The exchangers can be built into “ready to fit” casings made of steel, stainless steel or aluminum.
High temperature heat exchangers are applied for the heat recovery in the process industry.
These belong to the group of re-cooperative heat exchangers.
By means of the heat exchanger, two air currents of differing characteristics (i.e. warm return current and a cold supply current) are forced to flow in opposite directions, parallel to each other through thin, specially structured plates without any contact between one air current and the other. The energy transfer is caused by the numerous plates present in the heat exchanger.
A mixing of the two air streams will not occur. Consequently, the transfer of humidity, pollution, bacteria and odours is avoided.
Function principle
The air is forced to crossover through the heat exchanger. The energy is transfered by the plates.
As these heat exchangers are often used in environments where recirculated air is not allowed, it is imperative that there exists a high level of air tightness.
Advantages
A very high level of air tightness is obtained by the double folding process of the face side edges which is equal to 5 x material thickness.
Exchangers that are made of stainless steel are constructed with a corrugated inlay upon a flat layer which in turn increases the operational pressure stability. With this construction we can further reduce the pressure losses without influencing the efficiency.
With this corrugated construction it is possible to apply this range where very high pressure differences exist.
In cases of temperatures of up to 150°C (300°F) with high levels of aggressive content in the return air stream, a special epoxy coated material can be applied.
Special seals allow the perfect drainage of any condensation which occurs
